Company Overview
Electrical Instrument Service, Inc.
was founded in 1963 as a repair and calibration laboratory for
electrical test equipment. It was set up by former employees
of Sensitive Research Instrument Corporation after that company
was purchased by the Singer Company.
After years of providing service and then manufacturing under
license from the Singer Company, we purchased the Sensitive Research
Instrument line in 1975. Later that year, we also purchased Greibach
Instruments. In 1985, we added the Weston Instruments portable
analog meter line of instruments.
Currently, we are manufacturing all three product lines as
well as providing special shunt assemblies to the aerospace industry.
Product support is provided in terms of repair service, provision
of spare parts as well as certification to NIST in accordance
with ANSI / NCSL-540Z, and / or MIL-STD-45662A.
A listing of the various models available can be found under
Product Info. Our instrumentation
is in use throughout the world and is used by independent testing
and calibration laboratories, cable and electrical appliance
manufacturers, electrical utilities, various government facilities
as well as manufacturers of such items as CRT's, transformers,
computers and motors. Our lines of Sensitive Research electrostatic
voltmeters, voltage dividers and high current, low resistance
shunts are used in standards laboratories and our normal line
of secondary standards are used in production, engineering labs
and by quality assurance departments. |
