The personnel at EIS are master instrument
makers with the experience, skills and expertise required for
precision servicing as well. All tools and equipment necessary
for major overhaul and/or modification are available - inclusive
of precision machine shop equipment, microscopes, scale drawing
machines, welders, resistance and coil winding machines.
- Scale Drawing - extreme tracking accuracy
is accomplished
by hand drawing instrument scales on precision scale machines.
- Coil Winding - when necessary, movement
coils can be made up. Both hand and machine winding methods are
used.
- Instrument Resistors - the precision
resistors and shunts made
at EIS are more conservatively rated than commercial resistors
and are used where stability, temperature coefficient, and thermoelectric
effects are critical.
